HUIT is working with Microsoft to resolve an issue with SharePoint access. If you are having an issue accessing your  SharePoint sites, please clear your browser's cache or try a different browser.

Outlook Online App Launcher Issue

March 2, 2017

User Impact: Users may be unable to view some app launcher tiles within Outlook on the web.
More info: Affected tiles include SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, and Office Online. Exchange Online app launcher tiles are not affected by this issue. Users may go directly to SharePoint or OneDrive to access full App Launcher menu.

NEW FEATURE! Guest access for Office 365 Groups

Now you can share your Office 365 Group's files, calendar, and messages with anyone who has a valid email address! Guest access works for any email account including corporate and consumer domains (such as Outlook.com or Gmail.com). If the guest email identity is associated with a Microsoft account (such as Office 365 or Outlook.com accounts, for instance), the user is directed to a sign-in page to identify themselves. 8/5 - Changes to the Office 365 login pages

This Friday, from 10PM-midnight, HUIT will perform a major upgrade to the Office 365 authentication engine (ADFS).  This upgrade will change the look of the login pages, improve the overall security,  provide additional fault tolerance and add several important product features.  

Apple Mail users & private emails sent to mailing lists

A relatively recent update to Apple products has resulted in incorrect email addresses being associated with contacts. This potentially affects anybody who uses Apple Mail directly and everyone else indirectly.

After the update, Apple Mail will by default attempt to get contact information from the signature line in an email.
