How do I add HBS users to a SharePoint site?

In HUIT's O365 tenant we have set up "stub" accounts in Office 365 so that HBS email and contact information is visible in our Global Adress list. In addition, HBS has their own separate Office365 tenant. Because of these factors, there is some nuance in order fore HBS users to use a SharePoint site.

How do "Restricted Links" work?

A restricted link is only valid for individuals who have been granted permissions to a resource.

For example, if the resource is shared with A, B, and C, and you send this link to D, D will not be able to access this resource.

This can be very helpful for when you are trying to avoid having an individual wait for an invitation to the resource, you can simply give them access, and send them the link to the resource in a personal email.  It also is useful for sharing sensitive information, even if someone obtains a link to the resource, they will not be able to access it...

What is this Office 365 login page? It's not taking my user ID and password.

When you follow a link directly to a SharePoint site you may be prompted to enter your User ID and Password more than once.

If you are prompted to log in on a page with a Microsoft Office 365 logo, enter your email address or SharePoint username, then tab or click to the password field. You will then see the HUIT SharePoint Login page.
