Updating Your Offline Address Book (OAB)

After you migrate to Office 365 Email & Calendar, you may receive a bounceback when emailing colleagues you've emailed before or sending updates to meetings previously scheduled on your calendar, even after deleting that user from your Outlook address cache.

Follow these instructions to manually download the Office 365 Email & Calendar OAB.

  1. Click File on the Outlook Ribbon, then click the Account Settings button  
  2. Click Download Address Book...

  3. Uncheck Download changes since last Send/Receive and click OK. It will take a few minutes for Outlook to download and process the OAB, but you can continue working in the meantime.  
  4. After 5-10 minutes, please delete the entry of the bouncing addressee from your Outlook cache and try to send the email again.
