Office 365 Email & Calendar Android Configuration

Use these instructions to reconfigure your Android device once you have
been migrated to Office 365 email and calendaring services.

These instructions generally apply to any model Android, though
some menu options and screen views may differ slightly. Once you've
been migrated, you will not be able to access your mailbox from your
device until you follow these steps.

HUIT recommends that you use Microsoft Outlook for Android to access your Office 365 Email & Calendar.   The Outlook app was designed to work with Office 365 and provides more features and functionality than the native Android email and calendar applications.

The options available depend on the version of Android on your device and may include the following:
      • Email checking frequency: The default value is Automatic (push). When you select this option, e-mail messages will be sent to your phone as they arrive in your mailbox. We recommend only selecting this option if you have an unlimited data plan.
      • Days to sync: This is the amount of mail you want to keep on your mobile phone. You can choose from several length options, including one day, three days, and one week.
      • Sync contacts from this account: If you select this option, your contacts will be synchronized between your phone and your Exchange account.
9. Tap Next and enter a name for this account, then tap Done to complete setup.
